Finding Answers through Data Collection
The process of acquiring data is referred to as data collection. You should be able to answer the questions you presented in your Statement of the Problem with the data you collect. You can collect data for a research study using a variety of techniques. Using relevant software packages such as EXCEL, SPSS, and SAS, the data is collected, documented, organized, and translated to measurement scales before being placed into a computer database for statistical computation.
Quantitative approaches are provided as numbers that must be deduced using mathematics. Use of a questionnaire with closed-ended questions to arrive at figures to be calculated mathematically is an example. Also included are correlation and regression methods, as well as mean, mode, and median.
